2 Jaish terrorists eliminated, terror operative nabbed in Udhampur

JAMMU, September 17:

Security forces eliminated two Jaish terrorists and nabbed a terror operative in a swift and surgical anti terror operation in Soan area of Majalta in Udhampur district during the intervening night of September 16 and 17, said officials on Thursday.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police shared the information on social site X.

“You Can Run But You Can’t Hide ! Op Soan : the two neutralised Pakistani Jaish e Mohammed terrorists have been identified as Saddam and Mustafa. An AK Assault Rifle (with 4 mags) ; M4 Carbine (with 3 mags) ; a Glock Pistol (with 2 mags) and 4 grenades have been recovered from their person,” police stated in a post.

Army, which led the operatio from the front and formed the innermost cordon also shared the informaton on X.

“𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗗 In a joint intelligence-based operation during the intervening night of 16/17 Sep 2026, confirmed inputs indicated the presence of terrorists in the general area of Brattal, Udhampur. Despite hostile weather, difficult terrain and poor visibility, troops of #WhiteKnightCorps, @JmuKmrPolice and CRPF launched a targeted counter-terrorism operation, resulting in the neutralisation of two terrorists. The operation is still in progress, with search and surveillance operations continuing in the area. Security forces remain deployed to track and neutralise any remaining threat. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗞𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗩𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗟. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗,” it posted.

Meanwhile, security forces also nabbes a suspected terror operative from Soan area where the security forces were busy in the anti terror operation.

Sources said that the detained individual, in his 20s, had allegedly provided logistical support to the terrorists and he had been under surveillance for the past over a week.
