Aerobin at Gurudwara Maharani Chand Kaur to convert wet waste into nutrient rich compost

JAMMU, J&K: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), in collaboration with the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC), has installed an on-site Aerobin at Gurudwara Maharani Chand Kaur.
The initiative, under the leadership of JMC Commissioner Devansh Yadav, will scientifically process wet waste generated from the daily Langar and convert it into nutrient-rich compost for use in public parks, green belts and urban gardens.
The Aerobin enables efficient, odour-free composting at source without external electricity or manual turning, helping reduce the burden on city landfills and promoting a sustainable, zero-waste model for religious institutions across Jammu.
