Agni 4 ballistic missile successfully test fired

Much to the discomfort of Pakistan and China, India, on Thursday, successfully test fired medium range ballistic missile ‘Agni-4’ from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur in Odisha

The launch validated all operational and technical parameters. The test was carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command.

Pakistan has recently deployed Chinese SH 15 howitzer guns, which are a 155mm, 52-calibre wheeled self-propelled truck-mounted howitzers manufactured by China’s Norinco.

Pakistan ordered 236 of these systems. Recent reports indicate that roughly 250 units have been deployed along key sectors facing India, particularly behind the Shakargarh bulge near Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Jalalpur Jattan.

The Agni-4 is an intermediate-range surface-to-surface nuclear-capable ballistic missile developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It features a strike range of up to 4,000 kilometers and can carry a payload capacity of 1,000 kg.
