Goods train derails in Kathua, rail traffic disrupted

JAMMU, September 9;

Rail traffic on key Jammu-Pathankot railway section remained disrupted for several hours after rake of a goods train derailed at Chann Arorian railway station in Kathua district.

Around 9 am, the goods train, which has unloaded cement laden bags and was moving out of the unloading yard, detailed, said a police officer.

As a result the train traffic was disrupted for over two to three hours, he added.

The goods train was put back on rails around 11 AM and the normal train traffic was restored, he said.
