US, Indian troops sharpen counter-insurgency skills at Auli

Auli, September 17; US and Indian Army soldiers trained together in counterterrorism operations during Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026 at Auli, conducting a building-clearance and room-intervention drill designed to replicate close-quarter operational scenarios.

The drill featured assault teams supported by Drones, Robotic Dogs, Canines and Snipers, highlighting coordinated employment of specialised personnel and technology during counterterrorism operations. US Army personnel also interacted with the troops and equipment involved, gaining a closer understanding of the capabilities and techniques demonstrated during the exercise.

The training reinforced professional exchanges, tactical understanding and interoperability between the two Armies.
